City of Naarden, NL: Naarden vesting (fortress) & church

I am Albert von dem Borne. I live in Naarden and work in Amsterdam, Netherlands, as a professional hematologist. I am fond of flowers. Since many years I have taken snapshots of the beautiful flowers which I see in my garden, in my neighborhood and when I travel. This Web Page gives me the possibility to share some of these photos with my family and my friends & everyone else who likes pictures of flowers.

City of Amsterdam, NL: river Amstel near the Munt

Material & methods:

Initially my photographs were taken with a Nikon FE camera, using a Micro-Nikkor 55 mm f 1:2.8 lens, and Kodak positive & negative films (100-400 ASA). In February 1998 burglars removed most valuables from my house, including my camera and lenses. Then I bought myself a new Nikon Pronea 600i end second hand F90 body, which was recently replaced by a brand new F80 body. As lenses I use now an AF Nikkor 28-108 mm (1:3.5-4.5D), AF Micro Nikkor 105 mm (1:2.8D) and a Tokina AT-X Pro 20-35 mm (1:2.8). Apart from Kodak films (including the new APS format) I now also apply the new Fujifilm 4-colorlayer films. For scanning of the color positives and negatives I use a Minolta Dimâge Scan dual. With this scanner image are obtained of more than 8 million pixels with a 35 x 45 mm film (> 7 million after cropping) and  more than 5 million pixels with an APS film (> 4 million after cropping). I manage my images (as TIFF or PNG files) with ACDSee, and edit them with Jasc Paint Shop Pro, Corel Photopaint and Adobe Photoshop (including ImageReady). The main format of the Web pictures is 1000 pixels horizontally and/or 666 pixels vertically, compression JPEG (30% quality in Image Ready).
